Privacy Policy
Effective October 27, 2026 · Last updated October 28, 2026
Bitlitic LLC ("Bitlitic," "we," "us," or "our"), an Ohio limited liability company, publishes Boom Board for iOS, Android and the web (together, the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, why, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Who We Are
The controller of any personal data processed through the App is Bitlitic LLC, Ohio, United States. Contact: customer-service@bitlitic.com. The App is offered to users in the United States and the United Kingdom.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App saves the following on your device, using your device's local storage. Unless you sign in to an account (Section 3), it is not sent to us:
- The display name you choose (any nickname, no real name needed)
- Game statistics, achievements, daily puzzle results and streaks
- Coins, owned and equipped tile themes, and your No Ads and Supporter Pack status, plus counters that space out ads (games since the last ad, reward videos watched today)
- Settings (sound, haptics, reduced motion, colorblind mode)
- Your acceptance of these policies and the age range you selected at first launch (under 13, 13–17, or 18+). We do not store your birth year.
Deleting the App, clearing its storage, or using Settings → Delete my data removes this information. Without an account we cannot recover it for you.
3. Optional Accounts
You can play without an account. If you are 13 or older and choose to create one (Home → Sign in), we collect and store:
- Your email address and a password, or, if you choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, the name and email address that service shares with us and an identifier for your Apple or Google account. With Apple you can hide your real email behind a relay address. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication, and we never see them.
- Your display name
- Your game progress: statistics, achievements, daily puzzle results, coins, owned and equipped themes, and No Ads and Supporter Pack status
- A history of games you finish while signed in: mode, board size, number of players, whether you won, your place, taps, boxes cleared, your biggest boom, and coins earned, with the date
- Technical data Firebase needs to keep you signed in and protect the service, such as a user ID, sign-in timestamps and IP address
We use this to back up your progress, sync it across your devices, show your stats and game history, secure your account, and send account emails you ask for (such as password resets). This data is stored by Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore, United States), which processes it on our behalf. Each player can only read and change their own data. You can delete your account and its data at any time (Section 11 and Delete Your Data).
4. Online Play
When you create or join an online room, the App connects to our game server and sends:
- Your display name and a randomly generated player ID and session token
- The room code, the game settings, any board you build in Competitive mode, and your moves
- Your IP address, which every internet connection reveals, used to deliver game messages and to prevent abuse (for example, rate limiting)
Daily Puzzle leaderboard: when you finish the Daily Puzzle (players 13 and older), the App sends our game server your display name, a randomly generated player ID (or your account user ID if you are signed in), the date and the taps you made, so the server can check the result and rank it. Other players see your display name, rank and number of taps. Leaderboard entries are deleted after 14 days.
Room data is held in server memory only while the room exists and is discarded when the room closes, at the latest after 2 hours of inactivity. We do not keep match histories. Server error logs may contain an IP address and are deleted within 30 days. Other players in your room see your display name, your avatar color, and how much of your board is left. They do not see your board until the game ends.
5. Purchases
Real-money purchases in the mobile apps are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive your name, email address, or payment card details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to validate purchases and restore them. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID, your purchase receipts and transaction history, the product purchased, and basic device data such as platform and app version, and processes them on our behalf under its own privacy policy (revenuecat.com/privacy). The web app sells nothing for real money.
5A. Advertising (Mobile Apps)
The iOS and Android apps show ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC): a full-screen ad now and then when you leave a finished game, small banners on some menu screens, and optional reward videos you choose to watch for coins. Ads never appear during a game. The web app has no ads. Buying No Ads or the Supporter Pack removes all ads except reward videos, which stay available if you want them.
To show and measure ads and prevent ad fraud, Google receives from your device:
- Your IP address, and an approximate location worked out from it
- Device and app information, such as model, operating system, language and app version
- Which ads were shown and whether you tapped them
- Your device advertising ID (Apple IDFA or Android advertising ID), only where allowed below
- Adults: in the UK and EEA, Google's consent form asks whether ads may be personalized, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. On iPhone, Apple asks whether Boom Board may track you; if you say no, the advertising ID is not shared.
- Players under 18: ads are always contextual (based on the game, not on you). We never ask to track you, and requests are tagged so Google does not build a profile.
- Players under 13: ad requests are also tagged as directed to children under COPPA, so only child-safe, non-personalized ads are shown.
- All ads are filtered to be suitable for a 4+ app.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
5B. Analytics and Crash Reports
To find bugs and improve the game, the App records anonymous usage events and crash reports. We never attach your name, email or account to them.
- Usage events: which screens you open and game events such as a game started or finished (mode, board size, number of players, taps, result), daily puzzle results, tutorial progress, shop visits, purchases (product and price, not payment details), and reward videos watched. Each event also carries the app version, platform, language and screen size.
- Mobile apps: Google Firebase Analytics and our own analytics server (Umami, run by us at analytics.ops.bitlitic.com and cookieless) receive these events with an app instance identifier and approximate location derived from your IP address. Firebase Analytics never receives an advertising ID from us.
- Web app: only our own cookieless Umami analytics. No Google Analytics, and no cookies.
- Crash reports: if the App crashes or hits an error, Google Firebase Crashlytics (mobile) and our own error log receive the error, device model and operating system, app version and an installation identifier. We remove email addresses and tokens from error text.
- Players under 13: no usage analytics at all. Crash reports are still sent so we can fix the game, and contain no personal data.
- UK and EEA players: usage analytics only run if you allow measurement in Google's consent form, which you can change in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- Analytics events are kept for up to 14 months, crash reports for 90 days.
6. What We Do Not Collect
- No phone number, contacts, photos, location, microphone or camera access, and no email unless you choose to create an account
- No advertising ID or cross-app tracking, except by Google AdMob for adults who allow it (Section 5A). No advertising at all in the web app.
- No cookies or similar trackers in the web app. The web app uses your browser's local storage only for the on-device data in Section 2, and its analytics are cookieless.
- No chat or free-text messaging between players
7. How We Use Information and Legal Bases
| Purpose | Information | UK GDPR legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Run online rooms and deliver moves | Display name, player ID, moves, IP address | Contract (providing the game you asked for) |
| Provide your optional account: back up and sync progress, show game history | Email, display name, game progress and history | Contract |
| Keep accounts secure and send password resets | Email, sign-in data, IP address | Legitimate interests and contract |
| Prevent abuse and keep the service secure | IP address, error logs | Legitimate interests |
| Show ads, cap how often they appear, and prevent ad fraud (mobile apps) | IP address, device data, ad interactions; advertising ID only with consent (via Google AdMob) | Legitimate interests; consent for personalized ads and tracking |
| Understand how the game is played and fix crashes and bugs | Anonymous usage events, crash reports, app instance ID, device and app information (Section 5B) | Legitimate interests; consent in the UK and EEA where required |
| Validate and restore purchases | Anonymous app user ID, receipts (via RevenueCat) | Contract |
| Answer support requests and reports | Whatever you include in your email | Legitimate interests |
| Meet legal obligations | Records required by law | Legal obligation |
8. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the App (our server hosting provider, Google Firebase for optional accounts, analytics and crash reports, Google AdMob for ads in the mobile apps, and RevenueCat for purchases), with Apple or Google as needed to process purchases, when required by law, or to protect the safety, rights or property of players or of us. We do not sell personal information. If an adult allows personalized ads, the data Google AdMob receives may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some US state laws (Section 12).
9. Retention
Account data: until you delete your account, or after 3 years of inactivity, when we may delete it. Room data: until the room closes (2 hours of inactivity at most). Daily leaderboard entries: 14 days. Analytics events: up to 14 months. Crash reports: 90 days. Server logs: up to 30 days. Purchase records: as long as needed to provide restores and meet tax and accounting obligations, as kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. Support emails: up to 2 years. On-device data: until you delete it.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections (TLS) for online play and accounts, Firebase security rules that let each player access only their own data, rate limits, and server-side validation of every move. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep the information we handle to a minimum.
11. Children
At first launch the App asks for your birth year in a neutral way. Players who indicate they are under 13 can play every offline mode, but online rooms, accounts, leaderboards and real-money purchases are turned off for them, and any ads they see are child-directed and non-personalized (Section 5A). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact customer-service@bitlitic.com and we will delete it.
12. Your Rights
Without an account your data stays on your device and you control it directly. With an account, you can view your stats and history in the App and delete your account and its data from the Account screen at any time. You may also contact us to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold, to object to or restrict processing, or for portability. We will respond within 30 days (45 days where US state law allows), and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- California and other US states (CCPA/CPRA and similar laws): you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or use sensitive personal information. Personalized ads for adults may count as "sharing"; you can opt out at any time by declining personalized ads or tracking (Settings → Ad privacy choices, or your device's tracking settings), and we honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires.
- United Kingdom (UK GDPR): you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
13. International Transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located in the United States. Where UK personal data is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
14. Changes
We will post changes here and update the "Last Updated" date. For material changes we will show a notice in the App and ask you to accept again.

Terms of Service
Effective October 27, 2026 · Last updated October 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Bitlitic LLC ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of Boom Board on iOS, Android and the web (the "App"). By downloading, installing, accessing or using the App you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, EULA and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
Anyone may play the App's offline modes. You must be at least 13 to play online, to create an account, or to make real-money purchases. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf, and that they control any purchases made from your device. You confirm that the age information you give is accurate.
1A. Accounts
- Accounts are optional and free. One account per person, and you must give a valid email address you control.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you think it has been used without permission.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or that have been inactive for 3 years.
- Your progress is backed up to your account on a best-effort basis. Stats, coins and themes have no monetary value, and we are not liable for their loss.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial entertainment, as further described in the EULA. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. Online Play and Conduct
- Room hosts may change game settings, add bots and remove players from their room.
- You must follow the Community Guidelines. Display names that are offensive are automatically replaced.
- You must not cheat, exploit bugs, automate play against human players, interfere with the game server, or try to read other players' hidden boards.
- We are not responsible for the conduct of other players. You can report a player from the room screen.
- Online play depends on networks and servers outside your control and ours. Rooms may end unexpectedly.
4. Virtual Items: Coins and Themes
- The App offers a virtual currency ("coins") and cosmetic tile themes (together, "Virtual Items"). Coins are earned by playing, and in the mobile apps can also be bought.
- Virtual Items are licensed to you, not sold. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged or redeemed for real money, goods or services, and cannot be transferred, sold or traded.
- Virtual Items are purely cosmetic and give no gameplay advantage.
- Coins and themes are stored on your device, and also in your account if you sign in. Without an account they may be lost if you delete the App, clear its data, change devices, or use Delete my data. Deleting your account deletes the coins and themes stored in it. Supporter Pack content can be restored through Restore Purchases in the Shop.
- We may change, rebalance or discontinue Virtual Items, prices and coin rewards at any time, to the extent permitted by law.
5. Purchases
Real-money purchases are available only in the iOS and Android apps. They are processed by Apple or Google and are also subject to their terms. Prices are shown in the store before you buy and include applicable taxes where the store requires. We may change prices at any time. A change does not affect purchases you have already completed.
6. Delivery
No Ads removes the full-screen ads between games and the banners for as long as the App offers ads; optional reward videos stay available. It can be restored on the same store account. Purchased coins, No Ads and Supporter Pack content are delivered immediately after the store confirms your payment. If a purchase does not arrive, use Restore Purchases or contact us with your store receipt.
7. Refunds: All Purchases Are Final
All purchases are final and non-refundable, and we do not offer refunds, credits or exchanges for Virtual Items, including unused, lost or forfeited coins, except where required by applicable law.
Because Apple and Google process every payment, any refund request must be made to them under their own policies. If they grant a refund, we may remove the related Virtual Items. Our full Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.
UK consumers: by purchasing, you request immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once supply begins. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including remedies for faulty digital content, are not affected.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its game design, code, original icon artwork, sound effects, animations and text, is owned by Bitlitic LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the App except as permitted by law or by the open-source licenses listed in Licenses & Credits.
Copyright complaints (DMCA): send our designated agent at customer-service@bitlitic.com your contact details, identification of the work and the allegedly infringing material, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act, and your signature. We may terminate repeat infringers.
9. Assumption of Risk
You use the App at your own risk. The App is a game for entertainment only. Interactions with other players are solely between you and them.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and all Virtual Items are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that online play will work on every network, or that progress, coins or themes will be preserved.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bitlitic LLC and its members, managers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill or Virtual Items, arising out of or relating to the App. Our total liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $10.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a UK consumer, the limits in this Section and in Section 14 apply only to the extent permitted by UK law, and your statutory rights are not affected.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bitlitic LLC from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms or of law, or your violation of anyone else's rights.
13. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end your access to online play at any time for violations of these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or to comply with law. You may stop using the App at any time. Sections 4, 7, 8 and 10–17 survive termination.
14. Dispute Resolution and Binding Arbitration
Informal resolution first: before starting arbitration, contact us at customer-service@bitlitic.com and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Otherwise, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be held in Ohio or, at your choice, by phone, video or written submissions. We will pay the filing and administrative fees those rules require us to pay. You and we may bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated or representative proceeding. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing customer-service@bitlitic.com with your name and a statement that you opt out. UK consumers may always bring proceedings in their local courts.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and applicable US federal law, including the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to Section 14, the state and federal courts in Ohio have exclusive jurisdiction. UK consumers also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law where they live.
16. Apple and Google
These Terms are between you and Bitlitic LLC, not Apple or Google, and we, not they, are responsible for the App and its content. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the App (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual-property infringement claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
17. Changes and Miscellaneous
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will show a notice in the App and ask you to accept again, and continued use after that means you accept. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms. These Terms, together with the documents they incorporate, are the entire agreement between you and us about the App.

Refund Policy
Effective October 27, 2026 · Last updated October 28, 2026
1. All Sales Are Final
Every real-money purchase in Boom Board (coin packs, No Ads and the Supporter Pack) is final and non-refundable. This includes coins you have not spent, coins or themes lost because you deleted the App, cleared its data, changed devices or deleted your account, and purchases you made by mistake. We do not exchange purchases for other items or give credit for them.
2. Refunds Are Handled by Apple and Google
We never receive your payment. Apple or Google processes it, so only they can issue a refund, under their own policies:
- Apple App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory, or the Google Play Help Center
If Apple or Google refunds a purchase, the coins, No Ads or Supporter Pack content from it may be removed from your device.
3. Purchase Did Not Arrive?
That is not a refund case, and we will fix it. Open the Shop and tap Restore Purchases. If No Ads or the Supporter Pack is still missing, or a coin pack was charged but not delivered, email customer-service@bitlitic.com with the date and your store receipt or order ID, and we will make sure you get what you paid for.
4. Earned Coins and Themes
Coins earned by playing and themes bought with coins have no cash value and are never refundable or exchangeable for money.
5. Where the Law Requires a Refund
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived. In particular:
- UK consumers: digital content is supplied immediately after purchase. Before you buy, you are asked to agree to immediate supply and to acknowledge that this ends your 14-day cancellation right (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). You keep your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if digital content is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
- US consumers: any refund rights required by your state law still apply.
6. Parents
Purchases are protected by your Apple ID or Google account password, biometrics, or family purchase approval (Ask to Buy, or Google Play parental controls). We recommend turning on these protections on any device a child uses. Requests about unauthorized purchases by a minor must go to Apple or Google.

Effective October 27, 2026 · Last updated October 28, 2026
This End User License Agreement is between you and Bitlitic LLC for Boom Board. If you got the App from the Apple App Store, this EULA supplements Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and where they conflict, Apple's standard EULA applies to the extent required by Apple.

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial entertainment, as permitted by the usage rules of the store you got it from.
2. Restrictions

- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except to the extent that law expressly permits it.
- Do not rent, lease, sell, sublicense or distribute the App.
- Do not remove proprietary notices, or use the App to break any law.
- Do not attack, overload, or try to gain unauthorized access to the game server.
3. Objectionable Content
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Offensive display names are filtered automatically, players can be reported, and we may remove anyone who violates the Community Guidelines.
4. Ownership
The App is licensed, not sold. Bitlitic LLC keeps all rights, title and interest in the App, including all intellectual-property rights.
5. Maintenance and Support
We provide support at customer-service@bitlitic.com. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
6. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. It ends automatically if you breach this EULA. On termination you must stop using the App and delete it.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation
The warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability in the Terms of Service apply to this EULA.
8. Export and Third-Party Beneficiary
You may not use or export the App except as allowed by US law and the laws of the place where you got it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA.

Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use
Effective October 27, 2026 · Last updated October 28, 2026
Boom Board is a friendly game for players of all ages. These rules apply in online rooms and form part of the Terms of Service.
1. Not Allowed
- Display names that are hateful, harassing, sexual, violent or threatening, that impersonate another person, or that include personal information such as phone numbers or addresses
- Cheating, exploiting bugs, using bots or scripts against human players, or trying to see hidden boards
- Disrupting rooms on purpose, for example by repeatedly joining and leaving or stalling
- Attacking, overloading or reverse-engineering the game server
- Anything illegal, including content that sexualizes or endangers minors
2. Safety Features
- Offensive display names are replaced automatically.
- There is no chat or free-text messaging.
- Hosts can remove any player from their room.
- Rival boards stay hidden, so there is nothing to snoop on.
- Any player can be reported from the room screen.
3. Reporting
Tap Report next to a player in an online room, or email customer-service@bitlitic.com with the room code, the player's display name, and what happened. We review reports and act on them within 24 hours. UK users can use the same address to report illegal content under the Online Safety Act 2023, and to complain about how we handle reports.
4. Enforcement
We may block names, end rooms, and suspend or permanently block access to online play for anyone who breaks these rules. Serious illegal content will be reported to the authorities.
Delete Your Data
Effective October 27, 2026 · Last updated October 28, 2026
Accounts are optional. Without one, your data lives only on your device. With one, your progress is also stored in your account. You can remove either at any time.
1. Delete Your Account
In the App or on the web, open Home → Account, tap Delete account, and confirm with your password (or with Apple or Google, if you signed in with them). This permanently deletes your login, your email, the stats, coins, themes and achievements saved to your account, and your game history, from Firebase right away. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Boom Board's access to your Apple ID. Your progress on the device you are using stays until you also delete it (below). If you cannot sign in, email customer-service@bitlitic.com from the address on the account and we will delete it within 30 days.
1A. Delete Data on This Device
Go to Settings, then Delete my data, then confirm. This erases your name, stats, achievements, coins, themes and settings on this device, and asks you to accept the policies again.
2. Uninstall
Deleting the mobile app removes all of its data. On the web, clearing your browser's site data for Boom Board does the same.
3. Server Data
Online room data is deleted automatically when the room closes, within 2 hours of inactivity at most. Daily leaderboard entries are deleted after 14 days (email customer-service@bitlitic.com to remove yours sooner). Server logs are deleted within 30 days. Firebase may keep encrypted backups of deleted account data for up to 30 days before it is erased.
4. Purchase Records
Apple and Google keep their own purchase records, which you can manage in your store account. To ask us to delete the anonymous purchase history held by our processor RevenueCat, email customer-service@bitlitic.com. Note that the Supporter Pack can then no longer be restored.
5. Questions
Email customer-service@bitlitic.com. We respond within 30 days.
